Danielle and Rodney’s downtown Los Angeles Wedding was a monochromatic fusion of soft romance and contemporary edge.

Floral installs made up of delicate Quicksand Roses, fluffy pampas grass, organic eucalyptus and golden sprigs embellished the custom arch handmade by the father of the bride. The ceremony was on the 4th floor rooftop of the Hudson Loft and with July temperatures almost reaching 90°, the LAFD paid a safety visit to ensure the ghost chairs weren’t too hot — although cool to the touch, stylistically they were on fire.
On very our first call, Danielle and I bonded over our mutual appreciation for skull décor and we both contributed pieces from our personal collection to enhance select spaces throughout the wedding.
Built around a black and white color palette, there were endless pillar candles and votives covering the reception tabletops; gold flatware, black chargers and pewter velvet napkins with assorted accents in marble sharpened the aesthetic. An abundance of floating candles adorned the space in front of the black lacquer u-shaped head table and a crystal chandelier perched above the newlyweds enveloped the couple in a dreamy glow.
