Monica and Nick had their dream wedding at the bride’s parents wine country estate sitting above the town of Sonoma. The planning process for their Labor Day Weekend wedding had a huge added component, in that the home was not yet landscaped or hardscaped to host a ceremony and celebration of almost 200 guests.
The ceremony space started as an untouched plot that was cleared, leveled and set with a temporary turf. Their Cocktail Hour was spread across the pool deck and a stunning grove of oak trees. Guests made their way to the remodeled riding barn, where everyone enjoyed a sit down meal by a local caterer specializing in innovative Provencal-inspired fare.
The wedding color palette was primarily blush and mauve with a balance of soft white details and a hint of burgundy blooms. The multi-level farmwood stage was the ideal foundation to their rustic altar. The ceremony arch was covered with the perfect mix of florals and foliage to accentuate the hilltop vista and compliment the towering trees. A massive floral chandelier was hung above the reception tables, dripping in white wisteria and fresh greenery. As the sun set on the Sonoma mountainside, guests enjoyed artisan ice cream and assorted desserts, including a three tier wedding cake.
